Websites used in Family History

General search sites

Use Google
www.google.co.uk to search using specific search terms. Alternatively sites such as www.genuki.org.uk have a wealth of information about the genealogy of the United Kingdom and Ireland. There are many others as well.

Paid sites – these all have access to census, GRO index and other data. Subscriptions vary, or they may be pay per view. You can get some free offers if you keep your eyes peeled or you have free access from Devon libraries to some of them for limited sessions.
